The Beginning

My motorcycle adventure started in the early eighties with a Yamaha XT250.

I left El Requeson and continued south hugging the coastline until the road moved inland and then made my first stop for a proper breakfast in Loreto. I found a beautiful hotel in front of the boardwalk and soon I was having a good cup of coffee and a proper American breakfast

After spending the night in Guerrero Negro I headed out early and continued south now through the Biosphere Reserve El Vizcaino. Soon I was leaving Baja California and entering Baja California Sur. I didn’t stop until I got to Santa Rosalia where I had a quick lunch and then walked around the small town. The heat was already unbearable but the restaurant had good WiFi and air conditioner Santa Rosalia I continued south enjoying the blue and green colors of the Sea of Cortez The next location was one I had had on my bucket list for a very long time. I had read and seen photos from countless other bloggers about El Requeson, a little strip of land that juts out of Baja Sur and connects to a tiny island. The place is as wild as it can be, no bathrooms, no toilets and no place nearby to buy food or anything else. You basically find a spot and setup your tent and that’s what I did in the 100 degree heat After the tent was up I quickly jumped in...
